Firefighters were called last night to put out a fire at the new McHenry Library. The building, which is under renovation, is slated to house the Grateful Dead archives, and some of the documents were already in the building. Nevertheless, university authorities say that the collection was not damaged in any way.
Firefighters were called last night to put out a fire at the new McHenry Library. The building, which is under renovation, is slated to house the Grateful Dead archives, and some of the documents were already in the building. The fire broke out at 9:30pm and took about an hour to put out. Construction workers involved in the expansion and renovation project left the site at 5:00, but there were still about 100 students in the building who had to be evacuated.
