The site offers an interactive map with icons for a wide range of crimes, ranging from fraud to breaking and entering, and from disturbing the peace to arson. Visitors to the site can search for crimes in their neighborhoods by address, type of crime, and date. They can also sign up for an email alert to learn when a crime is committed in their vicinity. The information is updated daily from the Santa Cruz Police Department Records Management system.
