Adventures in Creative Clay with Nora Sarkissian

Have you ever wanted to create something from the Earth with your own 2 hands? In this class we will explore the basic techniques of hand-building with clay to create your very own personal sculpture, shrine, or vessel. The possibilities are endless once you begin to derive images that live inside you. We will engage in exercises to stir the imagination and reveal your inner world to be expressed through clay! All levels welcome, no experience necessary. Clay, glazing & firing of projects included in material fee.

March 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th and April 6th from 5:30pm – 8pm
Cost: $175 for 5 week series; $20 material fee to be paid directly to Nora

Nora Sarkissian has been a studio potter and instructor since 1990 and holds an MFA from SJSU. She creates fine art sculptural works for Galleries/Exhibits in the Bay area & New England. Her work is whimsical, mythical, unique, one of a kind, creating narratives. She enjoys pushing the boundaries of the clay medium and guiding her students through the ever endless possibilities of creation with clay.
