About Hospice of Santa Cruz County Volunteer Info Drop-In – Soquel

Learn how to become a Hospice Volunteer Visitor and make a huge difference in the lives of hospice patients and their families.

Stop by anytime during the hour to grab a cup of coffee and to learn more about this meaningful volunteer opportunity. Forbes Ellis, Director of Volunteer Services at Hospice of Santa Cruz County will be hanging out ready to chat and answer questions.

Volunteer Visitors offer support to people receiving hospice care. They may simply extend a hand to hold, serve as a supportive presence or help with running errands, light meal preparation, light touch massage, and other tasks. They often provide grateful caregivers and family members a needed break.

Volunteers participate in a 25-hour training especially designed to prepare Volunteers for this important role.

Hospice Volunteer Visitor applications due: April 6
