Monthly Chantey Sing

This month, Dick Holdstock, an English chantey singer who has toured all over North America, and now lives in Davis, will make the drive down to Santa Cruz to sing with co-host Aaron Clegg and our growing community of local area chantey singers. Dick is a legend among sea music performers, famous for his comedy songs and authentic traditional chanteys, as well as a musical "father" to many of the Bay Area's most prominent chantey singers. Santa Cruz's monthly chantey sing not a concert - it's truly a community singalong - everyone is welcome to take turns leading chanteys, or just jump in with the choruses. It's also Taco Tuesday, with a variety of delicious $4 tacos and ale on tap. You might want to bring a folding chair, just in case the bar runs out of chairs.
