Mountain Community Theater New Works Night Presents: "The Other Night" "n"

Mountain Community Theater proudly presents their NEW WORKS NIGHT featuring a staged reading of the play The Other Night, an original play written by local playwright Kathryn Chetkovich, and staged by Rita Wadsworth. Performances will be at Ben Lomond’s Park Hall, 9400 Mill Street, Friday, August 26 and Saturday, August 27, at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 28 at 2:00 p.m. A special Talk Back with the Playwright and Cast will take place after each performance. This production is rated R and is not intended for children. It contains adult subject matter.

When her soon-to-be brother-in-law is accused of raping her best friend, Claire finds herself caught between conflicting loyalties. It is a play about family, friendship, and feminism. Readers for this production are Kathie Kratochvil, Wendy Edmonds, Shannon Marie Kerr, Cassie Stipes, David Leach and Scott Kravitz.
Playwright Kathryn Chetkovich is the author of Friendly Fire, a collection of stories, and the play Acts of Love, produced Off-Broadway. She lives in Santa Cruz, where she is a member of 36 North: A Playwrights’ Collective.
This is the fifth year that Mountain Community Theater has offered a New Works Night, featuring a local playwright.
