Reflections Trio

The trio strikes the balance between the energy of hard driving old time fiddle tunes and the nuance of early jazz string band music. Guitarist Jon "Mad Dog" Kienzle is equally at home finger picking country blues as he is holding down the "pompe" behind a Django Reinhardt composition. Todd Allen's mandolin playing, influenced by the west coast acoustic scene, brings a jazz sensibility to the sound of the trio. Fiddler Becky Hendricks is well versed in Appalachian old time fiddling styles and plays and sings jazz tunes with her own unique approach. Together, the trio plays an eclectic mix of old time fiddle tunes, swing, blues and gypsy jazz music.
