The UN prohibits over 15 days in solitary confinement, but in California...up to 100,000 people are in solitary in U.S. prisons, plus 60,000 youth, and untold numbers in jails and detention centers.

This Event will feature readings and presentations by those formerly in isolation units in correctional facilities. If you wish to deepen your understanding and knowledge of the issues and politics surrounding solitary confinement, there will be testimonies and book readings by and of those who have experienced it first hand, as well as opportunities to become involved in reform efforts.
