Steampunk Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre & Ball

Come one, come all to Roaring Camp’s Bret Harte Hall on December 4, 2016 from 4 – 9 pm for the biggest Steampunk event of the year! Get ready for an explosive evening of murder mystery aerial acrobatics-style, yummy catered food from Roaring Camp Railroad's own kitchen, and a fun costume party amidst a wild Edwardian magical ball.
The evening will be a mix of great eats, costume-contesting, dancing, and aerial murder mystery solving. There will be a surprise cameo by one of Roaring Camp Railroad's own trains at the beginning of the event, as well as a plethora of vendors located along one wall of the Bret Harte Hall. Photos are highly encouraged!
The itinerary of the evening is as follows:
• 4 - 5:30 pm: Appetizers served on one of the Roaring Camp Railroads train cars. Enjoy photo-taking as well as an old-fashioned photo booth opened up during the event. There will be dancing, costume-contest entrance and vending during this time as well.
• 5:30 - 6 pm: The first of an evening-long murder mystery case and performance will unfold in front of your very eyes. Decorated in elaborate aerial entertainment, participants will be dazzled while they discover a thief and murder among them!
• 6 - 7 pm: Buffet dinner provided by Roaring Camp Railroad's catering will be served. Participants are encouraged to mingle, dance and enjoy all of the festivities of the evening!
• 7 - 7:30 pm: Another clue in our murder mystery evening has revealed itself! Party-goers will get a chance to watch as another element from our murder mystery evening draws the aerial performance cast closer to uncovering who the real killer is...
• 7:30 - 8 pm: S'mores be had for dessert! There will be bottomless s'mores to warm all tummies and give energy back to all of the people on the dance floor. During this dessert section we'll be revealing the winner(s) of the costume contest, so make sure to come ready to strut your stuff Steampunk-style.
• 7:30 - 8:45 pm: Party-goers are encouraged to get moving and dance the night away!
• 8:45 - 9 pm: Were you wondering if the aerialists and detective finally caught the bad guy? Well now's your chance to find out once and for all who the killer of the evening was tormenting the entertainment. Lo and behold it is ________!
Now that the night’s agenda has been divulged, let’s move on to the menu:
The menu includes wonderful appetizers aboard one of Roaring Camp Railroad's fabulous train cars, in addition to their famous and hearty Paul Bunyan Burger Sliders, Sonora Pulled Pork Sliders, or Veggie Burger Sliders with a side of BBQ beans, corn on the cob and a mixed green salad. For desert Steampunk goers will get to enjoy an endless supply of s'mores, which is great for those cold December nights!
