About Underwater Parks Day

Join Save Our Shores as we start the year off with a big Underwater Parks Day Beach Cleanup! Greyhound Rock is one of our local Marine Protected Areas on the north coast of Santa Cruz County. As a State Marine Conservation Area, we’ll be doing our part tending to the beach and removing any trash or debris that could pollute our coastal habitat.

Join us for a north county exploration, beach cleanup, and day of celebrating and protecting our underwater park at Greyhound Rock! Maybe even treat yourself to a chocolate truffle at Swanton Berry Farm.

Individual and small group volunteers are welcome. Save Our Shores provides all necessary supplies, and we encourage volunteers to bring their own reusable buckets, gloves, and water bottles. Cleanup to be held in rain or shine!

Check in will be located at the parking lot on Highway One at Greyhound Rock County Park.
