Celebrate Santa Cruz Art, Wine & Jazz Festival
One of Santa Cruz’s best annual events is the Celebrate Santa Cruz Art, Wine and Jazz Festival on downtown Santa Cruz’s Pacific Avenue. Happening for two days in mid-May, the 100-booth Downtown Santa Cruz Art, Wine & Jazz Festival features music, wine tasting, food from around the world, fine arts, live jazz and a fashion show. Cold Water Classic

Pacific Rim Film Festival
Founded in 1988 to promote the understanding of different cultures living along the Pacific Ocean, the Pacific Rim Film Festival features free American debut showings of films from countries such as Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Japan, China, Mexico, the Philippines and New Zealand. Begins second weekend in October at the Del Mar Theatre and Rio Theatre in Santa Cruz. 831.457.7894.

Seventh Sense Fashion Show
Generally held over the course of two mid-October weekends, the Seventh Sense fashion show is a uniquely Santa Cruz event where haute couture is taken to Dadaist extremes. The fashion celebration showcases the works of multi-media artists encompassing materials that can range from concrete and barbed wire to paper and projected light.
