62nd Annual Emmett Thompson Memorial Dad's Club Basketball Tournament

HOOP DREAMS! The Santa Cruz High School Boys Basketball program hosts the 62nd Annual Emmett Thompson Memorial Dad’s Club Basketball Tournament at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium on December 7th-9th. Basketball fans of all ages will enjoy seeing 8 local high school varsity teams compete over 3 days, with 4 games each round. This historic tournament, now in its 62nd year, kicks off the local boys’ high school basketball season. Proceeds benefit the Santa Cruz High School Boys Basketball program. Come out and cheer on your favorite team!

Tickets sold at the door:
$8 General Admission or $20 for a 3-Day Pass
$5 Students & Seniors (60 & over)
$2 Kids (ages 5-10)
Kids ages 4 & under are FREE

Game Times:
Thurs./Fri., Dec 7th-8th: 3:30pm, 5:00pm, 6:30pm, 8:00pm
Sat. Dec 9th: 1:00pm, 2:30pm, 4:15pm, 6:00pm (Championship Game)

Day 1 – Dec 7th Match-Ups:
Game 1: Harbor vs. Watsonville (3:30pm)
Game 2: Scotts Valley vs. Pioneer (5:00pm)
Game 3: Soquel vs. Salinas (6:30pm)
Game 4: SLV vs. Santa Cruz (8:00pm)

Day 3 – Dec 9th Special Half-Time Event:
Middle School Hot Shots Basketball Shootout!
Top Players from each local middle school compete
7th & 8th Grade Divisions - Boys & Girls Divisions
First Round: Half-Time of 4:15PM 3rd Place Game
Final Round: Half-Time of 6:00PM Championship Game
