California Guitar Trio + Montreal Guitar Trio

Featuring six virtuoso guitarists from Japan, Canada, Belgium, and the United States, the California Guitar Trio and the Montreal Guitar Trio fuse together over forty years of combined playing experience. A blend of steel and nylon string guitars, the repertoire of these trios stretches from jazz and classical to rock and world music. Inspired after an impromptu 2009 studio session in Montreal, this pairing of trios released a live album in 2011 and has been touring steadily since. Both trios enjoy a sense of place garnered from their namesake home bases, but together their sounds blend into new musical territory.
