CBCT® is a secular ethics training developed at Emory University by Geshe Lobsang Tenzin Negi, PhD with input from multiple disciplines and taught in medical & educational institutions—anyone can learn this practice.

CBCT® has interfaced eastern meditation with neuroscience and psychology. It first couples self-nurturance with focused attention meditations, and then adds progressive contemplative exercises that help one gain insight/awareness of how one’s attitudes and behaviors either support or hinder a compassionate response toward life's ups and downs. Research shows multiple biomarker and social benefits including increased personal resilience, improved satisfaction, plus a greater capacity for tenderness toward self and others.

Taught by Lisa DuPont. M.S (Gyalten Chime) who is a psychologist and Buddhist monastic. She has studied and practiced Buddhism & psychology for over 25 years and is a Certified CBCT Instructor, Emory University

Note: Regular attendance and daily home practice are required; this is NOT a drop-in class
