About County Democratic Endorsement Forum

The Santa Cruz County Democratic Party will vote to give the party’s endorsement for local candidates and issues on the March ballot at a candidates forum Saturday, December 14 from 10:00 AM to Noon at Democratic headquarters, 740 Front St., #165, Santa Cruz.

Qualified Democrats who are candidates for county supervisor in Districts 1, 2 and 5, as well as for Superior Court judgeships, are invited to attend and speak. Members will also vote on eight bond, tax, and charter amendment questions.

The forum is free and open to the public, although only elected members of the Santa Cruz County Democratic Central Committee or their alternates may vote.

The Santa Cruz County Democratic Central Committee is the governing body of the county Democratic Party. Its mission is to identify, encourage and support Democrats who choose to run for public office, conduct voter registration drives, increase voter turnout at the polls, and sponsor activities designed to educate and inform the community on current political issues.

Committee members are publicly elected by supervisor district every four years on the California Presidential Primary ballot.
