Dave Holland Trio featuring Kevin Eubanks and Eric Harland with special guest Chris Potter

Bassist Dave Holland's amazing career spans five decades of cutting-edge jazz. From his days as a member of the late '60s Miles Davis Quintet—as Miles entered his electric phase—to leading his own small and large ensembles, Holland's bold creativity has enhanced the role of the bass in contemporary music as a solo and ensemble instrument. One of his recordings from the early '70s, Conference of the Birds—featuring Sam Rivers, Anthony Braxton and Barry Altschul—is still considered an important milestone in improvisational music. Currently, Holland’s group features the inventive guitar work of Kevin Eubanks and the innovative drumming of Eric Harland. The addition of special guest Chris Potter, a longtime associate of Dave's, transforms the scintillating trio into a mind-blowing quartet. Potter's imaginative saxophone soloing is a welcome addition to an already high level of musical interplay and exploration. Dave Holland is known for consistently producing quality music—with his latest recording Aziza—no exception.
