Day of Unity

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) and evolved from the "Day of Unity" held in October 1981. The intent was to connect advocates across the nation who were working to end violence against women and their children.

Monarch Services, Walnut Avenue Family and Women's Center, and the Commission for the Prevention of Violence Against Women will be tabling on the corner of Pacific Avenue and Cooper Street on October 3rd for a Day of Unity. There will be a clothesline project, fundraising, and information from local domestic violence service agencies.
