Dominick Farinacci Group

A trumpeter and flugelhornist of style and elegance, Dominick Farinacci pulls in a diverse range of composers on his new album Short Stories, including Tom Waits, Horace Silver, Dianne Reeves and the Gipsy Kings. Part of this wide-ranging scope is thanks to legendary producer Tommy LiPuma, who calls Farinacci “a rare bird” whose live performance style translates perfectly to the studio. A Juilliard student and one of Jazz at Lincoln Center’s first Global Jazz Ambassadors, the trumpeter spent two years in Qatar, broadening the scope of his artistic vision.
