Dr Mecurio's Mythical Marvels Traveling Menagerie

Making good on their promise to return to Santa Cruz, this time to stay, Dr. Mecurio’s Mythical Marvels and Traveling Menagerie will be re-introducing themselves at a free street show Friday September 16th from 5:30-8pm. On display that evening will be three life-sized dragons to amaze and entertain crowds of all ages.

Dr. Mecurio is a one of a kind interactive experiance and the brain child of Ricki Vincent, award-winning puppeteer and master fabricator who plans to move his studio from Monterey to the Santa Cruz area, which is a perfect spot for his unique performances and skills. It’s his hope to eventually open up a full-time puppetry arts institute that will work with at risk and under served youth in the area, as well as, add another facet to Santa Cruz’s already incredible art/performance community. Future shows are planned for the Tannery Art Center and other venues around town through the month of October.
