Ester Rada

With a deeply personal blend of cultural influences arising from her Ethiopian and Israeli roots, Ester Rada is a distinctive singer and songwriter whose vocals also suggest the influences of soul divas such as Nina Simon and Aretha Franklin and contemporary R&B artists Erykah Badu and Lauryn Hill. Following the release in 2013 of her critically acclaimed EP, Life Happens, Radu was nominated for an MTV European Music Award for best Israeli act. She has since released her first LP, Rada, while continuing to tour as a headlining act at jazz festivals both internationally and in the US.
