About Fatherhood & Co-Parenting Weekly Group

Luma Yoga and Deutron Kebebew of the local non-profit MENtors have come together to present Fatherhood & Co-Parenting, a weekly group which will explore, promote and strengthen all types of relationships that fathers may find themselves in: parent-child, couple/co-parenting, self, and community.

Each evening is designed and facilitated to foster a teaching and learning environment that promotes peer-to-peer education, while building on one’s personal reflection and experience.

Day: Every Monday
Time: 6:30 - 8:30 PM
Location: Luma Yoga in Downtown Santa Cruz
Price: Free for Luma members, sliding scale for all others. You can register in advance using the ticket link. Drop-ins welcome.

About Deutron:
Deutron Kebebew is father, husband and a mentor to fathers, father-figures, and young people in our community. He is the Director and Founder of MENTORS DRIVING CHANGE FOR BOYS, MEN AND DADS, a local 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Previously, Deutron managed and directed Supporting Father Involvement (SFI) evidence based clinical research project for over decade in Santa Cruz County in partnership with UC Berkeley and Yale University.

He has a strong passion and commitment to representing, supporting and working for children, youth, fathers and families. Deutron has extensive fatherhood involvement intervention expertise, training, knowledge, program experience and background in evidence-based program implementation with fathers and co-parents. He has over fifteen years of leadership and implementation experience and working with the Supporting Father Involvement curriculum and group work. Deutron has engaged and served over 4000 fathers and father-figures over twelve-year period.
