About Finding Light in the Darkness: Writing as a Pathway to Self-Care in the Age of Trump

In our current political climate, many of us are experiencing post-election stress and burnout. This is a writing workshop for the broken-hearted who want to find equilibrium so they can step up and do their part to heal our country and the world. We'll use writing as a way to grieve, to express what's in our hearts, and to reach beneath our panic and dread to find resilience, strength and community. You don't have to be a writer to attend, and no one will be turned away for lack of funds. This workshop is taught by local writer and teacher Laura Davis, author of "The Courage to Heal" and "I Thought We'd Never Speak Again: The Road from Estrangement to Reconciliation." A donation of $20 is requested, and all funds in excess of costs will be donated to Santa Cruz Sanctuary.
