A Founding Father of one of America’s most treasured musical lineages, Freddy Cole has become one of the most beloved crooners and interpreters of popular song. Although originally having dreams of a professional football career, Cole found that his ease around a piano was similar to that of his older brother Nat’s, and his career in music took off. Heavily influenced by Billy Eckstine, Cole is a sophisticated vocalist with a strong sense of groove and suaveness. His latest release, Singin’ The Blues, revisits some of his favorites of the genre.
