Jim Harrison Dinner at Bad Animal

About Jim Harrison Dinner at Bad Animal

We're honoring the life and legacy of Bad Animal's patron saint, Jim Harrison. On Thursday June 27th we'll be celebrating the late Michigan author and legendary bon vivant with a special selection of the books, food, wine, and music that filled his days with meaning. The talented folks from @bruxofoodtruck are taking the kitchen over for the event and curating the night's menu. After an extensive study of Harrison's many food writings, here's what they've devised:

Machaca
dried and spiced brisket, ancho chiles, cilantro, cebollitas
Grilled Brook Trout
tea smoked whole trout, sweet corn pozole ensalata, spicy chimichurri
Simple Green Salad
spade and plow spring mix, leek vinaigrette
Toulouse Cassoulet
rancho gordo white beans, duck confit, pork shoulder, pancetta, andouille sausage,
mirepoix, bread crumbs, parsley, thyme
Gorgonzola
shortbread cookies, black truffle honey, rosemary

The menu is prix fixe, $55. Harrison-approved wine pairings will also be available. We're accepting reservations from 5 to 8 pm on a first come, first serve basis. To make a reservation, email us at [email protected] or stop by and talk to someone at the bar. Either way, let us know the desired time and how many people are in your party. Our regular menu will not be available. A limited menu of bar snacks will be on offer for those who wish to sit at the bar or window-counter for drinks. Our apologies, but no substitutions or modifications to the Harrison menu.
