Julian Lage & Chris Eldridge

Jazz meets bluegrass? What initially seemed an unlikely match-up has produced a very rewarding collaboration featuring fretboard masters Julian Lage and Chris Eldridge performing as an acoustic duo on vintage 1939 Martin guitars. Lage, a Bay Area native, has played with Gary Burton, Eric Harland, Taylor Eigsti, and many other members of the jazz elite, while his bluegrass counterpart performs with the Punch Brothers, co-founded the Infamous Stringdusters and performed in the Grammy nominated Seldom Scene. Avalon, their latest recording, features original compositions by both guitarists and some of their favorite cover tunes.
