About Kyle

Kyle Harvey (born May 18, 1993), better known by his stage name Kyle or K.I.D (often stylized as K.i.D), is an American rapper from Ventura, California. As unknown to many Kyle's original stage name, K.I.D, actually stands for "Kyle is determined." As a young rapper, Kyle is just that. His determination has helped him build up a wide fan base and reputation in the music scene. Kyle's rap style is often in comparison with rappers such as Chance The Rapper, Childish Gambino, and Kid Cudi. Kyle is best known for the single "Hey Now" with Martin Solveig and The Cataracs, and now receiving recognition from his freshman album. During his young career, Kyle has released four mixtapes, as well as his debut album "Beautiful Loser", released on August 5, 2013. Beautiful Loser has received a positive response from fans and the music industry. Kyle is currently performing in local shows in Ventura, California and around California primarily. At the age of six, he began singing and listening to a range of artists from Micheal Jackson to Stevie Wonder. In elementary school, he already began writing his own songs and performing for his school. At the young age of 10, Kyle truly became interested in hip-hop music. That very year, Kyle met a soon to be lifelong friend Charles "Mr. Man" Anderson who is now his rapping 'partner' in his venture into the professional music realm. Kyle started to experiment with rapping at this point and merged his singing abilities with rapping. He is often referenced as "sounding like Drake" because of his new take on rap, though he denies the reference as many rappers today are evolving into and adapting the mix of pure vocal singing bind with rapping and a unique hip hop sound.
