About Malabar Hosts Dosa Night with Live Music

Malabar will offer a special Dosa Night featuring a wide selection of dosas on Tuesday, March 21. All dosas will be $10. Call 831-458-3023 for reservations.

Dosa is a type of thin pancake made from a fermented batter. It is similar to a crêpe but its main ingredients are rice and lentils. Dosa is a typical food of South Indian and Sri Lankan cuisine. Dosas are served hot with a vegetable-chana dal soup made with tamarind and house-made assorted chutneys and sambals.

In addition, live entertainment will be ongoing throughout the evening. Performers include Lars Wright and Ken Mowry (acoustic guitar and percussion), Will McDougal (piano), and Didje Koffa (African music from Camaroon).

Malabar Restaurant is is located at 514 Front Street, Santa Cruz. Dinner is served 5p.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday — Sunday.
