Under the direction of guitarist Pablo Menendez, Mezcla has been a part of the sound-track of the Cuban music scene for the past thirty years. With their roots in rumba and Yoruba rhythms, Mezcla will challenge your perception of Latin music, connecting Afro-Cuban rhythms to funk, rock, fusion and swing. A multigenerational ensemble, Mezcla brings together several veteran masters with some the best of young jazz players on the scene today. Mezcla performs regularly at Havana's premier jazz club La Zorra y el Cuervo and the Havana Jazz Festival.
