Próxima Parada live at the Catalyst Atrium

Próxima Parada is bringing their uplifting, soulful, and original music to the Catalyst Atrium on December 20th. Arthur Watership and Getaway Dogs will be opening. Doors at 8:30, 16+, $10 presale (on Ticketfly) or $13 at the door.

Próxima Parada blends soulful melody with hard-hitting rhythm into a sound distinctly their own, drawing on modern and classic R&B, gospel, as well as music from West and South Africa. They have been organically gaining traction on Spotify (currently 90,000+ monthly listeners) and are stopping in Santa Cruz on their California tour this December.

Arthur Watership is the name given to the spirit that comes from the passion in performance; the ghost at the helm of life's journey. Their songs are centered around a love of nature and a longing to return to it, and the human mishaps that bring us back. The band is built of a small and sturdy crew of musicians on a variety of instruments ranging from pedal steel to the rare Viola da Gamba.

Getaway Dogs inhabit their own starry-eyed universe, drifting along to the tropical pulsation of big bossa-nova guitars, shimmering intergalactic keyboards, somnambulant vocals, whispered percussion, and buoyant melodies.
