Santa Cruz Contra Dance (Vets Hall)

Live music * easy to learn * high energy * great community!

Everyone is welcome! Partners and dancing experience are not necessary. Contra Dances are taught and prompted.

Our Second Sunday Contra Dance at the Santa Cruz Veterans Memorial Building will be called by Eric Black, with music from Laura Light (fiddle), Elizabeth Todd (flute) and Emil Olguin (guitar).

Beginner’s Workshop at 5:40. Regular dancing begins at 6:00.

Admission: Suggested admission donation is $12 regular, $8 for full-time students w/student ID card. Discounts for volunteers.

Wear: Comfortable, non-marking shoes to protect your feet and our floors – a separate pair of dance shoes works best. You’ll be more comfortable in loose-fitting light-weight clothing.
