The Guitarsonists

Three of the Bay Area’s premier guitarists—Chris Cain, Mighty Mike Schermer & Daniel Castro—comprise The Guitarsonists. Steeped in the blues, yet endlessly versatile and incorporating many styles, these three musicians together offer a complete package of guitar virtuosity. Cain’s searing guitar playing (not to mention his abilities on piano, bass and saxophone) have made him a stalwart of the Central Coast blues scene. Influenced by B.B. King and Albert Collins, Castro got his start in the Southern California blues club circuit. Schermer now calls Austin, Texas home and has accompanied Marcia Ball, Elvin Bishop and Bonnie Raitt over the years These three guitarists are all linked through our local musical community, and if we’re judged by the company we keep, The Guitarsonists are in good standing.
