The Jazz Time Machine with Steve Wilson!

On Saturday, May 4th at 11AM, Tandy Beal and Company presents The Jazz Time Machine, guided by local trombonist, educator, composer and arranger, Steve Wilson! Take a journey with your pal, grandparent, neighbor, or your children through 100 years of jazz in 60 minutes! Steve Wilson is a longtime Santa Cruz musician: SC Metro voted him Best Musician!

He’ll showcase his knowledge of the deep jazz tradition, starting from the beginning of the 20th century, leading all the way up to today. Steve Wilson and his trio will show us how Jazz transforms through ragtime, swing, be-bop, cool, fusion, pop, hip-hop!

This Family Concert Series is part of Tandy Beal & Company’s ArtSmart Arts Education Program which features professional world arts concerts in schools, dance residency programs, professional development for both teachers and artists. This low-cost and interactive concert series develops new audience members for the performing arts. The wide range of cultures and artforms presented engage and inspire all ages.
