Wolff–Clark Expedition Feat. Buster Williams & Hailey Niswanger

Featuring soulful and funky grooves, Wolff-Clark Expedition features pianist Michael Wolff and drummer Mike Clark at the helm. Both having received their start in the Bay Area in the 1970s, they’ve gone on to become preeminent musicians in contemporary jazz. Each has logged collaborations with musical legends—Wolff with Cannonball Adderley, Nancy Wilson and Sonny Rollins; Clark with The Headhunters, Wayne Shorter and Eddie Henderson. The Wolff-Clark Expedition combines their affinities for improvisational jazz and deep-pocket funk. Their latest album, Expedition 2, features originals, jazz classics such as “Gingerbread Boy” and “A Night in Tunisia” coupled with deconstructed and inspired takes on pop/rock standards like Cream’s “Sunshine Of Your Love” and Prince’s “1999”.
