About A Trip to the Moon: A free open house at the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the historic Apollo 11 moon landing during a FREE, all-ages open house with the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History! Join experts on a voyage of discovery through astrophysics, selenology (the study of the moon), the history of the first moon landing, and more. Featuring games, screenprinting, photobooth, music, no-host bar, and other treats!

Explore domains of lunar science with graduate students from the UCSC Departments of Earth and Planetary Sciences, as well as Astronomy and Astrophysics. Peer through telescopes from the Santa Cruz Public Libraries' Lendable Telescope Program, and meet the local teens whose homemade rocket won this year’s Lockheed Martin Most Creative Design competition
