EL NIÑO WORKSHOP for Spanish Speakers

The City welcomes Spanish-speaking residents to learn how to prepare home and family for extreme winter weather at the El Niño Storm Preparedness Workshop on Thursday, Jan. 7, 6-8 p.m., at the Beach Flats Community Center, 133 Leibrandt Ave.
The event, which includes a sandbag-making station, is co-sponsored by Pacific Gas and Electric Company and the Santa Cruz Seaside Company, who are providing free emergency kits to the first 75 families.
Booths representing City departments and community agencies will provide advice and the opportunity to discuss concerns with experts via Spanish translators.
