First Friday at the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History

Enjoy First Friday at the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History on May 3, 5-7 p.m.! Browse our exhibits and enjoy free food, wine and admission, all while watching talented scientific illustrators perform live demonstrations of their craft in support of our newest exhibit, The Art of Nature. This community-favorite highlights the work of over 30 artists who illustrate science in a variety of media and with a wide range of subjects, including insects, plants, birds, mammals, reptiles, and geology. From watercolor fungi to highly detailed, digital prints of buzzing bees and colorful crustaceans, this year's show will feature wondrous organisms from almost all branches of life.
